| An official “Vail Pioneer” and resident for over three decades, Jenni is a native Californian who grew up in the ski industry at Lake Tahoe and as a teen, migrated south to Santa Barbara. She is familiar with resort living. Once she married, her parents moved to Vail in the early 70’s. After several family visits, she and her husband, Walt, decided to settle here, too and get back to the mountain life she loved as a child. They raised their two children in a safe and beautiful environment taking advantage of the world’s best skiing and enjoying favorite summertime activities. An active lifestyle combined with diverse cultural opportunities contributed to the decision to make the area their permanent home. In 1987, Jenni joined Slifer & Company Real Estate (merged to become SSF) at its landmark Bridge Street office in Vail Village. In 1998, Jenni had the opportunity to join the SSF sales team at a brand new developing community, Eagle Ranch. After a dozen years, she now considers herself somewhat of an expert in the area where she directly participated in listing and selling of up to 50 properties annually from condominiums, townhomes and residential lofts to homesites and single family homes throughout the successful community. Eagle Ranch has matured and during the last few years, Jenni has broadened her focus to general real estate brokerage throughout the Vail Valley. Hard work and dedication to her customers has earned her several “Top Producer” awards in her office and within the Slifer Smith & Frampton family. “Now that we’re empty-nesters, life is taking new turns”, Jenni comments. “We continue to enjoy why we live here!” The Marquez Family has come full circle. With a love for the outdoors and as new grandparents, they anxiously await visits from family to share and pass down the mountain lifestyle to the 4th and newest generation of Vail Pioneer Kids.
