Rick Pirog has been a real estate broker in the Vail Valley for over 27 years. A graduate from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and a Masters of Science in Business Administration. Rick was in land development and commercial real estate sales in Colorado Springs prior to moving to Vail in 1977. That move came because of Rick’s longtime dream to live and work in a resort community. “I found my first stop – Vail – to be a great one,” he says.
Throughout his quarter century as a Vail Valley broker, Rick has consistently been a top producer for Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate. And his pace hasn’t slackened: The veteran Vail Valley broker has been a top ten producer for Slifer, Smith & Frampton Real Estate 4 of the past 6 years!
Rick possesses a broad range of knowledge in virtually all of Vail’s communities. This was derived from working in four different office locations as the valley grew and expanded to the west. “I started out in East Vail in 1977 and became familiar with each successive Vail Valley community as they emerged,” he explains. “Today, by relying extensively on the cumulative knowledge of the company’s 120-broker team, I continue to maintain an active awareness of trends in each major community in order to offer my clients the widest prospective of market opportunities.”
Rick also has been involved in numerous new construction ventures over the years. One of his most recent successes involved co-listing and selling out East West Partners' exclusive "Custom Homes on Village Walk" community in Beaver Creek. “I find that knowledge of design and the cost issues of construction to be most helpful in interpreting real estate value for my customers.” Rick continues to assist his clients in designing and marketing a range of residential properties varying from whole communities to individual custom homes.
Rick’s involvement with real estate is not limited to his office at SSF’s Park Hyatt Sales Center on Beaver Creek’s pedestrian plaza. He has served as past President of the Vail Board of Realtors, he is a Director of the Cordillera Valley Club Property Owners Association and President of the Cordillera Valley Club Metro District.
In his leisure time, Rick enjoys golfing, skiing and fly-fishing. Rick, his wife Terri, son Todd, daughter Jackie, and Yorkshire Terrier Hunter and Benjii the mighty miniature Australian Shepherd live at the Cordillera Valley Club and are members of The Club at Cordillera.
