The Native people of Colorado have a name for the Wild, the great free spirit that cannot be tamed: Cimarron.
Located in the pristine wilderness of the Cimarron Valley outside of Montrose, perched along the northernmost tip of Southern Colorado’s spectacular San Juan Mountain Range is the Cimarron Mountain Club. After years of exploration and careful planning, this unique opportunity has reached the market.

Skiing Cimarron Mountain Club, Cimarron Colorado - Feb 2013Experiencing Cimarron is like going back in time on Vail Mountain, when only a handful of families were shown by snowcat the fabled powder and sweeping scenery.

Cimarron is a true wilderness refuge. The 2,000 acre ranch has been divided into 12 parcels, with only 10 remaining that average over 100 acres in size and can be split between up to four families. The talent that operates Cimarron is unparalleled, with the top experts in their sports as your personal guides and a board overseeing the club made up of a veritable who’s who of the ski industry. Preserving the wilderness while sharing the land is an integral part of this project. Cimarron is an endeavor unlike any other, lead with wisdom and experience.

Cimarron 2Imagine skiing untracked powder a week – or even two weeks – after a storm, heli or snowcat skiing all day without crossing anyone’s tracks. At Cimarron this isn’t a dream, its reality. The ski area is larger than Aspen Mountain and contains terrain from extreme expert to leisurely enthusiast, including 60 named runs and additional planned. All but one of the home sites are ski-in, ski-out. Beyond skiing, Cimarron offers an amazing array of guided activities included in the annual dues such as hiking, rock climbing the volcanic ridge, horseback riding, and fly fishing for cutthroat and brook trout along the pristine waters of the ranch’s streams and ponds and the nearby legendary Gunnison River. A clubhouse is also planned to anchor the property with a restaurant, bar, spa, pool and gym.

Cimarron is not just a club it is a true sanctuary, a wild haven for you and your family to enjoy for generations to come. Far removed from traffic and crowds yet only 45 minutes from the Montrose airport, which offers non-stop jet service to major cities throughout the United States.

The Cimarron Mountain Club – untamed adventure, a wild bond, a legacy.
