Top 5 Things To Do | Spring Break Edition

Feb 16, 2016 // Lacey Baccich

Spring Break is right around the corner, and it is time to start planning your family’s activities while in our beautiful Vail Valley. While most would consider the world-class mountains of Vail and Beaver Creek enough entertainment, every parent appreciates the kid-friendly activities that our community has to offer:

The Highlights:

The Burton U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships returns to Vail from February 29-March 5th. One of the most popular winter events, The U.S. Open draws enthusiastic crowds, amazing athletes, and endless fun for all ages. Enjoy men’s and women’s events on the Slopestyle course and the Halfpipe by athletes with Olympic-like talent. Follow up the amazement with après entertainment and live concerts at Solaris Plaza. Artists this year include The Sheepdogs, The Bright Light Social Hour, Big Grams, and Griz. Kids (and adults) might just think it’s the coolest thing they have seen all year!

Adventure Ridge, located at the top of Vail Mountain’s Eagle Bahn Gondola, has activities that are sure to make the whole family smile. Choose from adventures like snow tubing, ski biking, children’s snowmobiling, or snowshoeing — all experiences Like Nothing on Earth. Finish off your adventures with a nice warm hot chocolate from Bistro 14 while enjoying the sunset over the Vail Valley.

Ice Skating low resBeaver Creek is the perfect place to bring the family, with activities happening daily on the mountain and in the Village. You cannot miss Ice Skating at Beaver Creek along with 3 o’clock Cookie Hour where you and your family can enjoy Beaver Creek’s famous chocolate chip cookies. Located in the heart of Beaver Creek village, the Ice Rink is also an iconic spot to capture your family photo and share memories that will last a lifetime. Ice skating is the perfect way to get your family together while enjoying a unique activity in a beautiful setting.
