As the resort community of Vail continues to grow, local people migrate west to Eagle, Colorado to find affordable housing. Just 30 miles away, it provides a family-friendly community for young professionals in the Valley.

“Old Eagle” was established in 1905 as a ranching town which later became the county seat in 1921. Head a little further south and you will stumble across Eagle Ranch and The Village which was established in 1998.  This combination of old & new sets the stage for an eclectic mix of restaurants, shops and breweries.

Fast forward to today and it is evident that Eagle has become a quintessential mountain community.

The mild climate and an abundance of outdoor activities are attracting people of all ages and demographics.  Surrounded by approximately 1,020 acres of town-owned open space and the adjacent BLM land, Eagle has multiple public parks, outdoor stage venues, a public pool, an indoor ice rink, a BMX track, two golf courses and plenty more. As the gateway to Sylvan Lake State Park, Eagle creates the setting for a high quality of life.

The Eagle events calendar is packed for the upcoming months with concerts, races, parades and festivals. Residents especially look forward to the free Thursday night concerts in the park where its encouraged to pack the cruiser bike with a picnic and favorite beverage to share with friends. Or spend an evening on the deck of Seven Hermits or the Dusty Boot listening to live music while taking in the incredible westerly views.

With all that Eagle has to offer, it is understandable why this community had 226 residential and land real estate transactions in 2016, a 7.6% increase from 2015*. Comparing the first quarter of 2017 against 2016, Eagle has seen a 15% increase in residential and land transcations, and a 35.7% increase in sales volume**. *MLS Data 1.1-12.31 in 2015 & 2016, **MLS Data 1.1-3.31 in 2016 & 2017

Eagle is constantly improving and has 22 homes currently under construction and 9 homes in the review process. Now is the time to check Eagle out! If you find yourself curious about the Eagle real estate market, I encourage prospective Buyers and Sellers to visit the Slifer Smith & Frampton office in Eagle Ranch Village to meet our knowledgeable team of Brokers.
