SSF Adds New Brokers Billy Iverson and TJ Voboril

Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate (SSF), the firm serving Colorado’s mountain resort communities for nearly 60 years, welcomes the addition of two brokers to the SSF team at The Slifer House. Billy Iverson and T.J. Voboril will be working out of the innovative, first-of-its-kind shared workspace, which the firm opened in January.


“We’re so thrilled to have two new team members join us at The Slifer House,” says Lissa Tyler, the branch broker at The Slifer House. “At SSF, we work to cultivate talented brokers who are committed to the company’s core values and mission, and Billy and T.J. are great examples of that. Since they’re both just getting started as brokers, the resources at The Slifer House will help them hit the ground running.”


For Iverson, joining SSF is a family affair. His mother and brother, Kathy and Matt Iverson, make up the Iverson Team at the firm. They’ve been with SSF for decades, focusing on high end residential real estate in the Vail Valley. Iverson grew up watching his mom and brother have great success working as brokers for the firm. He knew if he ever wanted to pursue a career as a broker, it would be with SSF. He comes to the firm after eight years working for a real estate developer in Edwards as the director of marketing, a market analyst and a designer and consultant manager. He approaches new situations with confidence and a can-do attitude. Outside of work, he’s an avid golfer, spending a season playing mini tour events in Phoenix. He also enjoys camping, traveling and swimming with his wife, Lindsey, their two-year-old daughter Eloise and five-year-old son Jack. His diverse background in design, business, finance, leadership training and collaborative work environments, plus his problem solving and creativity skills, make him a great asset to the Iverson Team and SSF as a whole.

Voboril is joining the SSF team with a focus in residential transactions for a select clientele of locals and second-home owners. A founding partner of Alpenglow Law, LLC and the owner of Voice of Reason Dispute Resolution, Voboril also works as an attorney and mediator, providing counsel, advocacy and conflict resolution services in the real estate, business, homeowner’s associations, construction and employment arenas. He’s had vast experience resolving complex situations and has an innate sense of how to best help his clients, always putting service above self.


Voboril has been named one of the Colorado Super Lawyers Rising Stars the last eight years in a row and received the Martindale-Hubble Client Champion award and the Colorado Supreme Court Pro Bono award. Plus, he pens the Open Bar column for the Vail Daily every other Saturday. Outside of his professional life, Voboril is a doting father to his eight-year-old daughter, Violet; he loves to ski, mountain bike, paddleboard, and read and write fiction. Deeply committed to preserving the character of his community, he’s a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Eagle Valley Land Trust and the Edwards Rotary Club (of which he is a past President) and volunteers as a small claims court mediator in the Eagle County Courts. In addition to his work at SSF, Voboril will continue his law and mediation practice.


“It is a natural extension of my experience and skill sets to take on this different, but complementary, role of real estate broker. I’m thrilled to join such a vibrant, successful, and driven company,” Voboril says. “Having the invaluable and innovative resources of The Slifer House is a huge bonus for me and my clients. Unlike any other shared workspace in the country, The Slifer House serves as SSF’s new headquarters and collaboration center, where brokers can meet with clients, and attend training and broker development sessions. The 10,000-square-foot space is designed for creating content, becoming immersed in virtual media, and meeting face-to-face with clients no matter where they are in the world.


“The Slifer House is a truly unique workspace with the tools and resources brokers need to do their best work,” says Jason Cole, SSF’s VP of Operations. “The space was designed not only with our teams’ needs in mind, but also the needs of our community. Before COVID hit the valley, The Slifer House was also being used as an amenity to our valley’s nonprofits for board meetings and planning sessions. In the meantime, we’ve been able to adapt the way we use the space on a daily basis to continue to give our brokers the attention and resources they need to best serve their clients.”

The real estate industry in the Colorado mountains saw a slight downturn in March when closures across the U.S. were put into place to try to stop the spread of the coronavirus, but the industry has bounced back successfully in the past couple of months. SSF is welcoming several new brokers in Eagle and Summit counties, as well as in the Roaring Fork Valley. Since June 1, SSF has written 326 new contracts worth more than $726.8M in sales volume in Eagle County. More than half of the buyers are from the Front Range or out of state. The firm exceeded its July 2019 numbers with a 67% increase in new written contracts and 95% increase in new written sales volume.
