When you first meet Kathleen, you don’t realize that you’re actually meeting an attorney, board chair, community leader and real estate broker. It’s a life arc of experience that, paired with a passion for living in the Vail Valley, makes for a winning combination for her clients.
A multi-generation Colorado native, Kathleen’s roots in Vail date back to the 1960’s. Spending weekends and holidays at her family’s Vail home, she is one of a few real estate professionals who have personally witnessed the transformation from a small mountain ski community to a world-class resort destination.
Following a successful 20+ year career in corporate and transactional law, she traded in her city life to be with her husband, the valley’s long time and beloved physician Dr. Jack Eck, and enjoy ski runs in knee deep powder, alpine passes for hiking and biking and a quality of life she treasures in a valley she loves. And the success she found in her legal career has repeated itself in her brokerage role with Slifer Smith & Frampton.
Her personal and professional background offers her clients a distinctive blend of executive professionalism, insider knowledge of the market, community culture and incomparable service…a winning combination from a true Vail local.
The words “connected” and “committed” best describe Kathleen’s deep roots in the community. She has served twice as the chair of Bravo!Vail and currently serves as Chair of the Board and President of the Lake Creek Metro District, a Board she has served on for several terms. Kathleen has also contributed her expertise to several higher education boards, most recently serving on the Board of Trustees for Colorado Mesa University. A participant in the Negotiation Project at Harvard Law School, she utilizes her expertise in the art of negotiation on behalf of her clients.
Kathleen has been recognized by her peers with several awards including:
- Eagle Award (for top producing brokers)
- Standards of Excellence Award
- Customer Service Award

She was also honored to be recognized in the 2024 Real Trends list, ranking in the top 1.5% out of the 1.5 million real estate agents across the nation.
