Ed Swinford
BACKGROUND
A real estate broker since 1978 and an Eagle County resident since 1975, before moving to Colorado, Ed was a high school teacher in his native Indiana for eight years. He continued his secondary education career in Colorado as the Assistant Principal at the local Battle Mountain High School in 1975 and then as Principal of Minturn Middle School, ‘78-‘79. By 1982 with the opening of Beaver Creek Resort, he became one of the first six brokers in Beaver Creek Resort and he has been based out of both Beaver Creek Village and Bachelor Gulch Village ever since. He has been the Sales Manager of eight (8) condominium developments in Beaver Creek as well as the Sales Manager for the Ritz-Carlton® Bachelor Gulch Penthouses in 1999 and The Ritz-Carlton Residential Suites in 2006. In January, 2016, Ed teamed with Brent Rimel, Broker Associate and enjoys the teamwork in marketing and sales.

Throughout his career, Ed has specialized in the brokerage of residential, land, and ranch properties. He has been involved in a wide variety of brokerage transactions representing local developers and individual clients as sellers and buyers. His professional background and his focus on the needs of his clients combined with an extraordinary perseverance for detail and commitment has propelled him to the forefront of residential and ranch brokerage in Eagle County.

Having raised my daughters in the Vail Valley, I am very fortunate to have made the decision to move west in 1975 to make Eagle County our home. I am now blessed to be able to spend time with my three beautiful grandchildren and enjoy riding my horses in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

BACKGROUND
Brent's professional career has taken him full circle in real estate, technology, development, and construction. After graduating from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and traveling through South America, Brent worked with his father (Lee Rimel) at Slifer Smith & Frampton's (SSF) Bridge Street office. Brent was then recruited by East West Partners technology team to build what is now SSF's premier platform for technology and communication. With a curiosity about understanding the home building and development process, Brent joined R.A.Nelson (RAN), one of the prominent general contractors in Vail and Aspen. Over a decade with RAN, Brent gained experience in constructing multi-family neighborhoods and custom homes in Vail, Beaver Creek, Bachelor
Gulch, Mountain Star, Lake Creek, Aspen, and Snowmass. Brent returned to the Slifer Smith & Frampton family in
2016, partnering with Ed Swinford to combine their expertise in providing clients with exceptional experiences when
buying and selling real estate.

I am a Colorado native and a Vail Valley local since I was nine years old. My wife Lindsey and I consider
ourselves incredibly lucky to be raising our daughter and son, where we get to enjoy skiing, mountain biking, hiking,
and rafting from what is effectively our backyard. Oh yeah, I also happen to speak Spanish and German!
