It officially feels like summer in Vail Valley. The sun is setting after 8pm, events and outdoor concerts are gearing up for a great summer, and patio season is upon us. Summer in the Vail Valley is a special thing. Many residents will tell you the story of how they came for one winter and never left. There is plenty to do in the summer no matter your budget. Free weekly concerts, Nottingham Lake picnics, and alpine lake hikes are just some of the ways to enjoy to the Valley. Here are some of our favorite summertime hikes:
Buck Creek Trail – Great for the pups with a river running alongside!
Boneyard to Pool and Ice Rink – For those down-valley lovers.
Eagle River Trail – An easy walk along the river on a paved trail.
Avon Overlook – Arguably some of the best views in the valley!
Beaver Lake Trail – A beautiful alpine lake setting.
Upper Piney River Falls Trail – Explore all the Piney has to offer!
Lionshead Rock – An uphill climb to beautiful panoramic views of Minturn.
Pitkin Lake Trail – A mid-summer all-day hike.
