Shoulder Season Activities for Spring

As the mountains close for skiing and we patiently await summer weather and events, shoulder season is a time to appreciate the quiet serenity of the Vail Valley. Take advantage of fewer visitors out and about and enjoy this early spring!

Here are some activity suggestions to help you get started with this new season.

Lower elevation trails are likely to dry up first and can be excellent on sunny days. Try these trails:

- Meadow Mountain (Minturn)

- Betty Ford Alpine Gardens (Vail)

- Miller Ranch Open Space (Edwards)

Even though we love to be in the heart of the woods, sometimes a paved path can be just as fun. Hop on the Eagle Valley Trail, a paved pedestrian and biking path that takes you all the way from Vail to Gypsum. Also check out the Gore Creek Trail, and Vail-based paved walking and biking path.

Indoor Exercise Class

Try an indoor exercise class to stay active and limber through this off season. Some of our favorite locations for classes are:

- The Athletic Club at the Westin Riverfront (Avon)

- Revolution Power Yoga (Avon)

- Gravity Haus (Vail Village)

- Pure Barre (Edwards)

There is still so much to enjoy in the Vail Valley during this off-season period. Try out bird watching and the world defrosts, take the family bowling, or host a board game night with your friends. The possibilities are endless!
