Cathy Miskell visited Vail for the first time in 1988 … and decided to stay. A native of New York City, Cathy worked at several of Wall Street’s major investment banking houses before joining a private investor group where she served as their principal financial analyst for 18 years. Cathy’s biography has appeared in Marquis “Who’s Who in Finance and industry” and “Who’s Who in the East”. After settling in Vail, she traded her Wall Street career for the marvelous experience of working with legendary ski-film producer, Warren Miller. Six years later, she met and married Whitney Miskell, a respected high-end real estate broker at Slifer, Smith & Frampton in Beaver Creek, and shortly thereafter joined him as a broker serving the Vail Valley’s luxury real estate market. Working together, Cathy and Whit proved to be a record-setting team and in the process earned a reputation for superb customer care, attention to detail, and absolutely consistent follow-up. Since Whit’s retirement, Cathy has coupled her own talents and experience with the skills Whit taught her and has built a thriving luxury-market business that serves the Vail Valley’s finest resort communities. Cathy has won a succession of "Eagle" and "Golden Eagle" awards which are awarded annually by the Company to its top producers. In a particularly cherished honor, Cathy's colleagues awarded her The Slifer, Smith & Frampton BROKERS' CHOICE AWARD. She has represented buyers and sellers of homes, land and ranches priced in the multiple millions of dollars with locations extending from Vail to Beaver Creek/Bachelor Gulch, Cordillera, Lake Creek and as far as the exquisite ranch lands of McCoy, Colorado. Modifying the term "bi-coastal", Cathy commutes between Vail and their home in Fort Myers, Florida, and believes she and Whit have the best of both worlds.
